Don’t let 2015 be a repeat of 2014!
The year passes so fast and if you don’t have a plan for this year in developing your knowledge, skills and abilities, it won’t happen!
In Australia, we are still in holiday mode. The kids are still on school holidays and I am enjoying a 3 week break from veterinary practice. It’s the rest and rejuvenation we all need.
However, school will start at the end of January, then it’s February, then it’s Easter, Mothers Day, July school holidays and suddenly 6 months are gone!
You MUST plan your year now.
- What time off do you have planned for R&R?
- What clinical and/or surgical skills do you want to learn or develop this year?
- What CPD are you doing this year to achieve the above?
- What clinical support skills (or soft skills) are you developing? e.g. communication, leadership, influence, discussing money, a optimistic and resilient mindset
If you don’t plan this, it won’t happen. Yes, it may not go exactly as you would like it, but at least you will have clarity about what you want to achieve this year and you were taking action.
Need help doing this?
The Veterinary Career Plan course will help you determine exactly what you want from your veterinary career. It will take you step by step through the process to create your short term and long term goals and what action steps you need to take to achieve these goals.
It is an online course, available 24/7.
It is the same process I use with all my personal coaching clients.
