I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year.
Remember to reflect on your wins and your achievements in the last 12 months. Reflect on what you have learned and the courses you have taken.
It is so easy to focus on what you did wrong, your mistakes and what you didn’t achieve. Instead change your focus to what you did right.
It will change everything!
When I sat down and wrote down my wins and achievements for 2015, I was surprised! I knew I had been very busy impacting the lives of many veterinarians and their teams, but I had forgotten how much I had done. Then I wrote down the courses I had taken, the books I had read and what I had learned in 2015. It was a lot!
I’ve kept the list on my phone to remind me of the impact I can make when I keep going in the times of overwhelm, frustration and when I become discouraged.
I was originally thinking I could have done more but I was pleasantly surprised looking at my lists. It also explains why I was exhausted towards the end of the year. I was aware of this and slowed down, increased my self care and now I feel great and energised about the festive season.
Take the time to R&R, enjoy the company of family and friends and have a wonderful holidays. For those who are working, I am thinking of you. I spent many of the holidays working and wishing I was celebrating with my family.
I look forward to connecting with you in 2016.
